In a fit of 'advanced' planning, the Husband thumbed through our current issue of Sunset the night before our most recent 20-person potluck. We have been longtime Sunset physical magazine subscribers, and I still like the 'old-school' feel of dog-earing magazine pages.

This replaces a similar Hoisin Lime Chicken that has been languishing in the Greenhouse.

4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
2T hoisin sauce
1/2 t Chinese five-spice powder
1T shoyu
1T oil

Marinate the chicken, ideally for the afternoon, but at least 30 minutes. Grill. After cooking, let sit for about 10 minutes. Slice thinly. Eat with rice and a nice salad, or plate lunch-style with some mac salad.
For Vietnamese-Style Sandwiches

My own namasu
A handful of shredded carrots
