Besides having innumerable ways to paint your nails, Pinterest can be a good source for easy recipes.

This just tastes like summer. It's not sweet, but definitely refreshing. Best of all, everything came from the garden. Mint and cucumbers from our front yard, and lemons from a friend. It may not be my parents' barter ohana yet, but it's a start! The lime version also works well.

1 quart mason jar, filled with water
1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced and seeded if necessary
1/2 lemon or 1 lime, thinly sliced
 About 15-20 fresh mint leaves

Fill the jar with water and drop in the mint and cucumber and lemon or lime slices. Refrigerate overnight. Drink over ice. The colder, the better.

When the jar is half-full, you can refill it one time. Keeps for about 5 days on one refill. Compost when empty.
