steve's hummus
vegan + gluten-free

Picture
Steve’s notes on this hummus say “Don’t eat it alone, or you will be.”

It has *lots* of garlic in it, but everyone who has tried it really loves it. Plus, you can literally make this in 5 minutes.

The non-traditional pumpkin color is from the curry powder and roasted red peppers.

1 can of garbanzo beans (drained)
½ a small jar of roasted red peppers (optional, but highly recommended)
5-6 cloves of garlic
About ¼ cup olive oil, less if you like chunky
Juice of a lemon
1-2 spoonfuls of tahini
1-3T cumin
1-2T curry powder
Hot garlic sauce (Chinese or Sriracha)

Put everything into a blender or food processor and blend away, drizzling in olive oil until it is the consistency you like.

If you let it sit, the garlic and heat will get stronger.
