simplest spaghetti sauce

My son brought this home from his Foods class and raved about it. The exact quote was "So super good, and I can make it." My husband and I were a little skeptical, given how ridiculously simple this looks, and after all, it's made in a middle school classroom! Then we had some, and we shall never doubt our son's taste buds again. This is a no-leftovers kind of meal.

1 box or package of spaghetti (1 lb)

5T olive oil
4 cloves of garlic, smashed through a press, or smashed and chopped
4T fresh (must be fresh), chopped basil
Hawaiian salt and pepper, to taste
Parmesan Cheese

Boil water and cook pasta to al dente.Drain and set aside. Put oil into a large saute pan. Heat oil and saute garlic, just until it starts to turn color. *It is VERY* important that you do not let the garlic burn. Add basil, salt and pepper. Remove from heat. Add pasta and toss together until well blended. Add Parmesan cheese if you like and start eating.
