nearly every animal meatloaf

If you use pork sausage, use plain water instead of clam juice to soak the bread. Otherwise this gets way too salty.

1 lb ground turkey/chicken (formerly used ground beef)
½ lb ground pork or pork sausage
1 can (tall) minced clams, with liquid
1 pkg Lipton onion soup mix
Bag of grated carrots
2-3 stalks of celery, finely chopped
1 egg
2-3 cloves minced garlic
Pepper
2 slices of bread soaked in clam juice or water
Mushrooms, chopped (optional)
Sauce
1 tub of mushrooms, sliced
1 can Healthy Request cream of mushroom soup

Mix all the meatloaf ingredients together, put it in a baking dish (loaf of 8 x 8), and bake at 375 degrees for 45-60 minutes.

While that’s cooking, cook the mushrooms in a little olive oil and then mix with the can of cream of mushroom soup. Spread this over meatloaf and bake for 15 minutes more. Bake until browned.
