my mom's corned beef hash

Another lovely recipe for meat that comes from a can. My mom actually cooks and mashes the potatoes beforehand. This is too much prep! Using the raw grated potatoes is much faster and gives a crunchier hash-ier texture.

1 can of Hormel corned beef (yes, canned with the little key to open it)
1 onion, grated
1 brown baking potato, grated
1 egg
Pepper to taste
Canola oil

Peel and grate the potato and squeeze as much liquid out as possible. Mix corned beef, potato, onion, egg and pepper together. Form patties. Fry in oil until reddish brown and crunchy on the outside, and hot on the inside.
