American. Asian. Home Cooking.

Feeding My Ohana  is an evolving collection of easy-to-make recipes that celebrates the amazing variety of "American" food. Being a Hawaii girl who went to school in New England and now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, you will find Hawaii food, all manner of Asian, Yankee, Italian, French, Jewish, Portuguese, Russian, German, Mexican, Persian, Greek, and on and on.

Feeding My Ohana is my way to share my absolute love of eating, with the reassurance that you won't have to go through crazy cooking hoops to make it. Eat well. Be well.

Happy New Year of the Rabbit!

As a child, New Year's meant firecrackers, a completely clean house, midnight soba (buckwheat noodles) and a host of traditional Japanese food, typically lots of finger food in lacquer boxes used just for special occasions.

The All-American 2011 sugar cookies and the hand-rolled sushi (hamachi, unagi, spicy tuna and California rolls) at our dear friend's New Year's celebration is pure Feeding My Ohana-style

Happy New Year to All!
