crock pot bbq pork sliders

Picture
Perfect Superbowl or Hockey Night food. The King’s Sweet Bread taste and soft texture balances out the bbq flavor. I like mine fully loaded with relish, mustard, onions and lettuce, but others in the family prefer the purist meat and bread version.

Make a full meal with Mac Salad and Won Bok Coleslaw.

1 hunk of pork butt, 4 lbs or so
1 packet Lipton onion soup mix
1 cup Heinz catsup
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1T hot pepper sauce

1-2 packages Kings Hawaiian Sweet Bread Rolls (the dinner roll size)
Slider Accessories (all optional)
Red onion, finely chopped
Lettuce, shredded

Mustard
Relish

Set the pork butt in the crock pot with everything except the buns. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-6 hours. Meat will be tender enough to split with a fork. Toast the bread in the oven, as noted on the package. While still warm, slice in half to make little slider buns. Add meat and desired accessories.
