Despite meandering laundry, which could either be clean or dirty at any given time, binge watching "Law and Order" and "Dr. Who," they have really stepped up feeding their Ohana this week. And none of involved Top Ramen or Kraft Macaroni and Cheese.
Simple Spaghetti. Made by stay-at-home teenager. This is why you have kids!
Crazy Commute Tuesday
Chicken and Bok Choy, with salad and rice. Simple, fast. yum. Especially good after a 7AM in-person, onsite meeting and a commute that was stopped cold by niele drivers checking out an Optimus Prime-sized truck that got a little too friendly with a hatchback. Most importantly, it looks like everyone eventually got home safely.
Feeding the Teenagers Wednesday
Costco Chickens. Yes, plural. Two of them, four bags of chips, and a full bag of broccoli for a big pan of Chicken-less Broccoli Divan. Recipes are meant to be flexible. The teenagers know that when they come over they will eat well, but will have to eat vegetables. We love them all.
Leftovers Roulette Scrambled Eggs, compliments of nocturnal teenager. "Carmelized red onions, finely diced salami and cheddar cheese in a delicious 2.5 egg omelette" And the dishes were done too.
Jane's Stuffed Zucchini. It's not quite zuke season yet, but it's time to have these.
Bags of chips (it's summer)
Muddy Buddies, made by teenager
Yam ice cream, bought by teenager
Tons of yogurt, milk and drinks
Fresh nectarines from our friend with a farm
Ritz crackers and garlic Laughing Cow cheese
Tropical Fruit Salsa
That should hold them for a few more days. Welcome home summer!
