This led me to ponder how often Americans eat takeout in a week. Based on a Pew Research survey, 78% eat out at least once a week. What?! So here's really what we ate, and not cooked.
Fundraiser Sunday
Mountain View Buddhist Temple Teriyaki Chicken. A bargain with nearly a whole chicken and perfectly cooked white rice. The closest thing to home cooked all week.
Meatless Monday
Guacamole, salsa and roasted zucchini. Made by the teenagers.
Pizza Tuesday
Amici's Milano and Boston pizza with a bag of salad.
Tofu Hotpot Wednesday
Kong Tofu. Bibimbap and spicy tofu hotpots. With lots of leftovers for lunches.
Old-people volleyball Thursday
Marie Callendar's. The rec league is recognizing our team for being either the oldest team, or the "longest tenured team." We've gotten to the point where the reason we play is to go to Aunty Marie's apres-match.
Detox Friday
You can only eat out so much, even with variety. Like Dorothy said, "There's no place like home."
