sick & wrong fish |
|
|
Don’t be fooled by the title; this fish is really, really good. However, the first time my mom made this for my kids, it was as a whole fish--steamed with head, eyeballs, etc.
My son then exclaimed, “That looks sick and wrong!” and proceeded to eat it anyway. While the name stuck, we use fillets now. |

Fish options (fillets, so as to avoid the "sick and wrong" moniker)
Opakapaka Halibut Moi Kumu Mullet |
Shoyu
Sesame oil Fresh ginger, grated Cilantro, finely chopped 1-2 stalks of green onions, finely chopped |
Sprinkle the shoyu and sesame oil over the fish. Sprinkle fresh ginger, green onions, and cilantro in proportions to your liking. Wrap fish loosely in aluminum foil (like a tent) and bake at 350 degrees for about 20-30 minutes, depending on how thick the fish is.
