          ridiculously good scones

Everyone who has had these absolutely loves them. My mom asks me to bring some home when I go to Hawaii. Our Easter brunch requires them. My boss and clients love them. Even my Japanese teacher gobbles them up.

Since Todd starting making these, we have never bought scones again. Cranberries remain the favorite, but from time to time, dried apricots, or dried cranberries with pecans make for a nice change.

          2 cups flour
          1/3 cup white sugar
          1/2t salt
          1/2 cup dried cranberries
          1 1/4 cup heavy cream
          1t baking powder
Cinnamon & white sugar (for dusting)

Mix all dry ingredients together. Add heavy cream and mix together with a fork. Roll out to an 8-9" circle. Top with a bit of heavy cream and dust with cinnamon and sugar. Cut into 8 pieces (like a pie).

Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
